Ms. Donna S. Morrison

I am very excited about this year, teaching World Geography. The excitment of the students tend to make the class fun and enjoyable. I went too college after my military career. I earned an A.A. in Business Managment from Lee College Baytown, an B.A. and M.A in History from the University of Houston Clear-Lake, and a ME.d in Principal Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont. I started my career at Key Middle School in Houston's 5th Ward teaching Pre AP U.S. History. I was asked to transfer to the high school in 2006, where I taught AP U.S. History. I help to implement the AVID program with Chavez High School, the initial class of 26 graduated with over $523,000 in scholarships. I became Magnet Coordinator and Assistant Principal at Sterling High School in Houston in 2010.During my time at Houston ISD I received several awards and honors, including being Teacher of the Year three times. In 2013, upon military retirement,  my family moved to San Antonio. I have always felt that parents are always welcome in my class.  It is my belief that with working with parents and having an open line of communication as a team, my students can achieve anything they wish.
