Degrees and Certifications:
BS Degree in Home Economics with option in Child Development
Mrs. Joyce Borton
Hello. My name is Joyce Borton, and I’m proud to be a part of Robert E. Lee High School. I am a proud Texas native, born in San Antonio, and watched as my familiar hometown became a thriving big city. I attended Texas Tech University then transferred to the University of Texas at Austin where I graduated with a BS Degree in Home Economics with an option in Child Development. That said, I come from a proud Texas Aggie family and know that my blood is maroon.
I have had the opportunity to live in many states and have always had a job. My experiences range from secretary in a small company to Director of a large Child Development Center; from hiring Lee students as employees to finally a teacher at Lee High School and teaching those students in Career Preparation who work. Here at Lee, I have been involved with FCS classes, I have been a PAL sponsor and currently, I am Department Chair for Career and Technology.
