Ms. Mitzi Moore

At ISA since 1998, I taught chemistry for the first 11 years, and I have taught my current course under the names Multimedia, Digital and Interactive Media, and now Digital Media. Prior to joining the ISA staff, I taught sixth grade science for two different NEISD middle schools (Wood and Nimitz). My current course falls under Career and Technical Education. I have the unique task of helping new freshmen obtain the skills they need for their entire career at the International School of the Americas, setting up the workspaces and showplaces they will use in every class. We also develop and refine collaborative skills and Habits of Mind in my class. The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Digital Media are integrated within long-term projects that also address our school's Graduate Profile. I really like this job.

My husband and I are both native San Antonians (Roosevelt H.S. grads), and we raised our three children here. Our two youngest graduated from ISA (one in 2009 and one in 2018). We have four beautiful grandchildren, and spend a lot of time with them. In my spare time, I like to read, craft, volunteer, and explore my environment while searching for geocaches, glass art marbles, interesting scenes to photograph and digital pocket monsters.
