This is my thirteenth year of teaching after a successful career in the biomedical industry. I love teaching math and science, just as I love learning about them. Math helps us see the patterns, which help us explain how the world works and answer scientific questions. The analytical processes that we learn in math and science help us in every part of our careers and lives.
I first became interested in math and science at John Marshall High School, and went on to major in Microbiology at Texas A&M University. After completing both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Microbiology at Texas A&M, I entered the biomedical field in quality control. Later, I progressed to marketing and management, earning an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin along the way. I started teaching thirteen years ago in a private school, and then entered NEISD at Tejeda Middle School 9 years ago. Now, I enjoy sharing my knowledge of math and science as well as their career applications with my STEM students.
My daughter is a Junior at the University of North Texas in Denton this year, leaving me at home with our red long-haired dachshund, Rosy. She makes us laugh with her many antics.
STEM is a fabulous program, and I am privileged to be a Seahawk!
