Diana Hoyer

I have worked at Lopez Middle School as the Math Department Chair since the school opened in 2007. At Lopez Middle School, I have taught 8th grade math, Pre-Ap Algebra 1, 7th grade Pre-Ap math and 7th grade math. I have also taught at Driscoll Middle School and Jackson Middle School. Through my 25 years of teaching I have taught 6th grade math, 6th grade Pre-Ap math, 6th grade G.T. math, 7th grade math, 7th grade Pre-Ap math, 8th grade math, Pre-Ap Algebra I,  G.T. Geometry, 6th grade math and English lab, Special Education Inclusion and Special Education Self-contained. I am certified to teach Math (4-8), Elementary self-contained (1-8), and Generic Special Education (PK-12). I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Psycology from Saint Cloud State Unversity in Saint Cloud, Minnesota and several credit hours towards a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in mathematics through the University of Texas at San Antonio.

    Tutoring is available every morning with one of the 8th grade math teachers and after school until 4:30 on Thursdays in the library. Any other day after school tutoring is available by appointment only.
