Mrs. Kim Rosenberg
Mrs. Rosenberg is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Music Performance and a Master's in Music Education. She has taught music in grades K-12 for the past 25 years. Before becoming Director of Bands at Tex Hill, Mrs. Rosenberg was the Associate Director of Bands and the Director of Bands at Jackson Middle School.
Mrs. Rosenberg's bands have received consistent "Sweepstakes" awards in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. Under her direction, the Jackson and Tex Hill Bands have been recognized at the Region, Area, and State Level. They have also received numerous "Best in Class" awards throughout the State. The Jackson Honors Band was a TMEA State Honor Band Finalist in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013. In addition, in 2009, Jackson was named a National Winner in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Competition. The Tex Hill Tiger Band was a TMEA State Honor Band Finalist in 2015.
Mrs. Rosenberg is an active clinician for All-Region Bands around the state and serves as an adjuticator for UIL Contests. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Texas Music Adjuticators Association.
Mrs. Rosenberg's husband is the band director at Tejeda Middle School. She has two daughters, Ashleigh, who attends Texas Tech and Lauren who is in 8th grade. She enjoys playing and listening to all types of music,reading, running, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Rosenberg strongly believes that middle school is a time of discovery for students to find their niche and have a place to belong. Her goal is to instill a love and appreciation for music that will last a lifetime. She wanst her students to have fun as well as exercise leadership and self-discipline to pursue goals which will enable them to achieve their highest potential.
Mrs. Rosenberg is proud to be a Tex Hill Tiger and is looking forward to working with you this year as we "CONTINUE THE TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE." so excited to continue this new journey as a "Tex" Hill Tiger.
