Ms. Sarah M. Harding
I am a Dual Language/Spanish teacher, and I teach AP Spanish IV, Pre-AP Spanish III, and Spanish IA.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Latin American Studies, and my Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin. I also spent a year at the Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City.
I began my teaching career in 2013 at Lytle High School in Lytle, Texas, where I taught Spanish I, II, and III Pre-AP. Prior to teaching I worked in public health outreach as a Spanish-language television producer with Univisión and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I have also worked as a professional translator and writer. I grew up in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
My love of Spanish comes from my upbringing. My father’s work brought him (and us) to Mexico, and beginning in high school I participated in cultural exchange programs in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba. My parents taught us the importance of learning about and respecting other cultures and languages, in addition to our own. My goal is to inspire every student to love world languages and cultures.
In my free time I love to spend time with my family. Together we attend cultural events, travel, and perform with two local folk dance groups.
I am married to a dual language elementary teacher, and have two children who are also bilingual.
