Bachelors of Arts in Theatre- University of the Incarnate Word 2010 Masters of Arts in Teaching- Trinity University 2011
Welcome! I am Ms. Tarro, your theatre arts teacher and/or debate coach. I am excited as we enter the 2019-2020 school year! This will be my ninth year teaching. All of which have been with NEISD. This will be my sixth year at Eisenhower.
I love teaching theatre arts and look forward to our three main stage productions as well as our two speech festivals. All theatre classes are a full-year, performance oriented course which will engage you in theatrical studies and numerous performance opportunities. We will study acting techniques, human behavior, theatre history, technical theatre, audition techniques, elements of a play, and much more!
I am excited to be Eisenhower's debate coach this year. This is also a full-year course that is designed to help you learn more about speech, debate, argumentation, and increase your organizational/time management skills. You will also learn about competitive events and how to be successful in them. We will learn how to make persuasive arguments, protocol, etiquette, professionalism, how to research, and (again) much more!
My basic rule of behavior is make choices that does not interfere with the learning of others, teaching of our class, or performances/presentations.
Fun fact: I, myself, was an Eisenhower General student! In my spare time, if I am not traveling, I am enjoying time with my rescue dogs!
