Mrs. Mary Cherry
Hello and welcome to 6th grade math. I am very excited to be a part of the Driscoll Defender family. I earned my undergraduate degree from University of North Texas and my masters in middle grades mathematics from Georgia State University.
This will be my 22nd year teaching middle school math. Of my twenty-two years, four have been at Driscoll Middle School, nine years at a local private school, eight years in Georgia and one year in Burleson, Texas. I have also coached soccer, track and volleyball.
I love math! I love coming up with a variety of solution strategies, investigating and manipulating patterns and number relationships. I hope to instill, in you, a love of math and help you develop into a lifelong learner and critical thinker.
When not at school you can find me spending time with my husband Jason and my sons Walker and Parker. I enjoy spending time outside running and playing sports, particularly soccer. I still play in a women's soccer league.
