Mr. Schafer

A native Hoosier, Mr. Schafer has both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Secondary Education from the University of Evansville in Evansville Indiana. In 1994 he retired from the Air Force where he spent his whole career working in the Education and Training field. His career was highlighted by two tours in the AFROTC program. He served as an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University and as the Professor of Aerospace Studies at South Dakota State University. He has taught in a Special Education classroom and has taught sixth grade Math at Bradley for 15 years and four years ago moved to seventh grade. In 2004 he finished his second Masters Degree, this one in Educational Administration from Texas State University. He teaches four Regular and three Pre-AP/Enriched math classes. Mr. Schafer is married and has two children ages 27 and 32. His wife works at the Alternative School in the Schertz District. His oldest daughter is an Assistant Manager for Miner Corporation of San Antonio is married and raising her daughter who will be eight this year. His youngest daughter is married and, with our oldest granddaughter who is nine and newest granddaughter who is not quite a year old, are living in Selma. She currently is running an in-home day care. Mr. Schafer is a high school and college basketball official and loves to play golf when he's not spending time with his family. This year the Schafer's will continue spoiling their granddaughters.
