I am so glad to be here at Woodstone Elementary, and I call this my “home”. This is my 21st year at Woodstone. Before moving to Woodstone, I taught at Regency Place Elementary School in NEISD for 7 years. My goal this year is to make sure that your child will have a successful year, and be prepared for 3rd grade next year. I want to be the kind of teacher for your child that I would want my child to have.
I grew up in Alexandria, Louisiana, where my family owned a newspaper. Because of that, I have always enjoyed reading and learning new things. I still read the newspaper every morning while I am having breakfast. After graduating from high school, I moved to Waco, Texas, where I graduated from Baylor University. After graduation, I moved to San Antonio.
I am married to James, and we have a son, age 14, and a daughter, age 11. Our son is extremely inquisitive and is always wanting to research and learn new things. He is a freshman this year and is playing on the golf team. Our daughter wants to do everything that her brother is doing. She is in 5th grade and is a goalie on a soccer team. When I have extra time, I love to read, bake, take pictures, and relax in the mountains.
I welcome your input on your child. This is a team effort on making your child be a successful student this year. I am looking forward to a great year!
