Mrs. Lisa Ridgway
Hi! My name is Lisa Ridgway and I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher!
I was born overseas in a US Air Force family, the youngest of five kids and the only girl. We traveled extensively before we made it to Texas and settled here. I attended Montgomery Elementary, Ed White Middle School and graduated from Roosevelt.
I've had many experiences prior to teaching. I used to be a hair dresser, an insurance agent, and even drove a river boat. When I had kids of my own, I knew that education was where I was called to be. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of the Incarnate Word in 2009. I am currently a graduate student at UTSA working toward a Master’s Degree in Literacy and expect to graduate in December. This is my fourth year at Windcrest and 11th year in NEISD.
When I'm not at school or in school, I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, fishing, and just spending time with loved ones. Mr. Ridgway and I have four daughters and a grandson. My husband's family lives here & mine are scattered around the US.
I very much look forward to this school year. I can be reached through email, phone, notes in student's folder, or in person most days during specials. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
