I love being part of the Wilderness Oak staff and the children in 2nd grade!
I feel very blessed to be in the position I am in at this point in my life. I believe working in a classroom with early readers and writers is very important, that the spirit of a child is fragile, and that every opportunity must be made to build them up, open their world, and give them confidence and success. I want learning to become a lifelong goal and a worthwhile pursuit for each child in our classroom. I am looking forward to a great "WOW" year where learning, laughing, and leading are shared with students, staff, and parents.
Teaching is my second career and in working on my master's I student taught at Hardy Oak. I have a 28-year-old son who is in the Army, a 26-year-old daughter in the Coast Guard and a 23-year-old daughter who is a flight attendant. They usually visit the classroom during the year and have many interesting stories to share about their careers. It is fun to see wonderful adults develop from the kids you are blessed to raise. The school years go by quickly- enjoy them!
