I am thrilled to be teaching at Wilderness Oak Elementary School, I feel very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community of learners.
I am a graduate of Winston Churchill High School in North East. I have a bachelor's degree in Education from Trinity University, and a graduate degree in Reading from Northern Illinois University. I have been teaching since 1989. I have taught in NEISD at Camelot Elementary School, Stahl Elementary School, Thousand Oaks Elementary School, and Redland Oaks Elementary School. I have also taught in Naperville, Illinois, just west of Chicago. I have been teaching at Wilderness Oak since the school opened in 2005.
I am married with two children. Christian graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in May 2018, and is now working for a consulting firm in New York. Schuyler graduated from Reagan High School this past June, and is now a freshman at UTSA majoring in Electrical Engineering.
I come from a family of educators. My mother was a teacher and a counselor in NEISD. My husband is also a teacher and teaches Math at Winston Churchill High School.
I enjoy reading, music, travel, and spending time with my family.
