Welcome Parents and Students at the Pre- K Academy at West Avenue!

My name is Myriam Francois Pierre. I am extremely excited to be part of the new Pre-K Academy at West. I am the ECSE/PPCD (Early Childhood Special Education/ Preschool Program for Children with Disability) Special Education Teacher.  

 This is my 11^th year teaching. I have taught K-5 grade in the inclusion setting, resource and redirection setting at West Avenue Elementary. In 2006, I graduated at Barry University with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education in Miami Florida. I love to guide and challenge my students to do their best each day and to believe in themselves. I am honored to be your child teacher and I am looking forward to work with you and your child this school year.

I am a mother to two gentlemen Nathaniel and Tyler. Nathaniel is a freshman in college. Tyler is a junior in high school. The boys keep me very busy with sports and I love every second of it. I enjoy Zumba, yoga, taking long walks, cooking, shopping, traveling and relaxing.

We are going to have an amazing year of fun, learning, and growing!
