Welcome to my webpage! Although this is my sixteenth year at Walzem Elementary School, it is my thirty-fourth year teaching. I've taught twenty-two years in the regular classroom and twelve in special education classrooms. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and have a master's degree from Texas State University. I am the mother of a son who is a sophmore in college. I love water sports, reading and watching movies. When my son was younger, our favorite children's books were the Captain Underpants series, BFG by Roald Dahl and the Spiderwick Chronicles series. I really enjoy the younger kids because their curious bright minds and innocent comments keep me smiling and young at heart. I am always excited about working with children of all ages because their learning brightens my life.
