I was born on an Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas and raised in different parts of the United States. I graduated from San Antonio Christian School (1989) and Texas A&M University (1993). After graduation from A&M, I moved back to San Antonio where I furthered my college education with a teaching degree in Elementary Education from UTSA (1996). I have been married for 25 years and have two beautiful children, both in college. I enjoy every minute of free time that I can spend with them.

My teaching experience includes 3 years in Edgewood ISD as a 5th and 3rd grade teacher with half a year as the school's reading specialist. I began teaching for NEISD in 2000 and haven't looked back. I taught 5th grade for 5 years and 3rd grade for 1 year at Clear Spring Elementary. This is my 17th year at Stone Oak, 6 years teaching 3rd grade, 5 years teaching 4th grade, and now I am enjoying my sixth year back in 3rd.
