Mrs. Lilia Palmiery-Victoria

Academic Year 2021-2022 brings great excitement as we welcome back all students to the classroom for in-person learning. I am honored to continue performing my role as the Special Education Co-teach/Instructional Facilitation and Resource teacher in the third grade. A wonderful year of collaboration with my amazing colleagues lies ahead.

Coming from a family of teachers in the Philippines, my passion for teaching inspired me to pursue my career in Texas. The Philippine Normal University, National Center for Teacher Education, helped me build a solid foundation and professional training as an educator. I started teaching in my country in 1969 until our family moved to San Antonio in 2002. My classroom immersion in another cultural mileu has afforded me ample opportunities to widen my perspective and further hone my teaching skills.

My teaching credo centers on my respect for the dignity and uniqueness of every student and his/her innate capability to learn. I believe that teaching from the heart is significant so that each learner may grow, blossom, and reach his optimum potentials. This has been my guiding light and has made my teaching journey as a Special Education teacher a truly fulfilling experience.

In keeping with the SPURS spirit, I remain positive that we can all join hands to achieve a meaningful, productive, and successful year.
