I graduated in 1997 from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a certification in Early Childhood Education. I am a North East ISD Alumni.  I attended Oak Grove Elementary, John Nance Garner Middle School, and Douglas MacArthur High School. I started with the North East ISD team in 1998 teaching 3rd grade. I have also taught 2nd, 1st, and Kinder.  When I first started teaching, Serna used the curriculum Core Knowledge.  I have co-written several units of study over 7 years.  I have had the opportunity to present my units across the country.  I have also presented at the SMART technologies and Tech Camp for teachers during the summer.  I am very interested in learning about technology and try to attend as many workshops as I can. This is my 24th year in teaching.
