My name is Juanita Blackburn. I am so excited and honored to be teaching at Roan Forest Elementary School.  I am entering my sixteenth year at Roan Forest!   Time flies when you're having fun! It has been a dream for me to enter the teaching profession. I am entering teaching as a second career. I wanted to become a teacher to make a difference in our future, our children. I was in the business industry for the last 20 years. Dreams do come true! 

I am very grateful for a wonderful husband and five sons and three grandchildren. We love to spend time together as a family. We enjoy watching movies together. I love reading!                          
              
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I also have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Texas State University.        
I look forward to seeing the growth of the child. We will have a wonderful year!
