Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. Interdisciplinary Studies Concentration in Special Education University of Texas San Antonio
I am thrilled to be returning as the PPCD teacher for Redland Oaks Elementary School this year. I graduated in December 2003 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Special Education. Since my graduation, I have worked for non-profit profit and private agencies that provide care, advocates, and assists in all areas of life for special need individuals. Through my personal life and professional career, I have seen the positive outcomes for children that receive hands on education and care enabling those individual children to reach goals and expectations at an inspiring and high extent, and having the opportunity to be a part of that has only grown my passion for Special Education. I was excited and eager to join the NEISD community as the PPCD teacher for Redland Oaks Elementary in December 2015. I personally believe that as an educator, we need to not only support growth for children in the classroom, but we must also prepare our children and support growth in the world around them as well.
