Ms. Zibelin

Hello !

I'm truly excited to be your child's first grade teacher.   They grow so much in their academics and in their personal growth. Just to give you a little insight, they will be expected to read independently, know how to add and subtract, and write a story of their own by end of year.   I tell the kids to think of me as their coach, and that by working together we can be a successful team.  Their success depends on me, themselves, and you as their parent, all working as team to ensure their growth.

I'm in my 24th year of teaching, 13th at Oak Grove.  My first degree was a BBA with a major in Human Resources at UTSA.  After 5 years in that field, I chose to have a career in teaching.  I did the necessary coursework in a Post-Bac program at UTSA.  I'm certified in general and special education as well as ESL.  In 2005, I earned my Masters from TAMU.

I'm a mother of three truly wonderful adult married children, and I have one toddler grandbaby!  When I'm not busy with teacher work, I love spending time with family & friends.

There are so many very helpful links on my page.  Please take a few minutes to explore and get to know Oak Grove and NEISD.

My conference time this year will be 9:45-10:35.  Please call Oak Grove and leave a message for me, or email me with any questions or requests for conferences.

Thank you for all you do for your child.  Together, we will help them reach their academic, creative, and behavior goals.  GOOOOOO PANTHERS!!!
