Welcome to 2nd Grade!

I am thrilled  to be working with you in the 2022-2023 school year at Las Lomas Elementary School! Second Grade is such a fantastic and exciting time. You will see so much growth as young leaders that will take you beyond the classroom and into the real world. You will learn how to become problem solvers ready go forth and serve your community! As your teacher, I will serve as your guide ready to empower you every step of the way!

About Me

I was born and raised in San Antonio having also lived in Houston and Spain. I graduated from St. Mary's University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree and hold certification in early childhood through 6th grade, English as a Second Language, and Theatre Education EC-12. This is my 10th year with NEISD. In addition to second grade, I have also taught kinder, first, and fifth. When I am not in the classroom, I am in the studio training in the art of Mexican folkloric and Spanish flamenco dance or hanging out with my cat, Mr. Santikos!  I continue to be an active community member by sharing these passions of dancing, learning, and teaching with others.
