2017 NEISD Teacher of the Year Finalist

I have been teaching in North East ISD for the past 24 years.   This is my 23rd year at Huebner and my 32nd year in education!    

I moved to Texas in 1993 to student teach in the Northside ISD.  I taught in Northside for 7 years before moving to North East in 2000. I have taught first, second, third, fourth and fifth  grades.  I received my master’s degree in Education Administration in 2010. My husband, David and I have two daughters, Mikaela  and Miranda.  Mikaela is an RN in the pediatric ER at Christus Santa Rosa.  Her and her husband reside in a home just 4 miles from us.  Miranda will be a junior at the University of Texas.  She is studying  in the field of education.    

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood/Elementary  Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  After 17 years in education, I pursued my masters degree in Education  Administration from Conordia University Texas.  Click on the links below to see the exciting things happening at the University of Northern Iowa and Concordia University Texas, my Alma Maters.
