I began my teaching experience as a student teacher at Jimmy Elrod Elementary in a 4th grade classroom and I graduated with my teaching degree from UIW. While I was studying and working toward my masters degree at UTSA, I tutored 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in math and writing and then I was given the opportunity to teach 1st grade at Stone Oak Elementary from February to the end of the school year in 2016. I taught 1st grade at Hardy Oak Elementary for 3 wonderful years. I loved teaching, working with children, and being apart of Hardy Oak's amazing community of teachers and families. During 2018-2019 we also piloted a STEAM program.
Last school year, 2018-2019, I began coaching girls soccer at Reagan High School, my alma mater, and completely fell in love with being a coach. This year I am thankful for the opportunity to teach English IV, as well as coach not only soccer, but also cross country. It's going to be a great year! Go Rattlers!
