Mrs. Aisha Collins

Hello! My name is Aisha Collins and I am the new Fillies JV dance director as well as the First Ladies Pep Squad Co-Director. I cheered competitively through high school and college while creating freelance dance choreography for various cheer teams. 

I went on to serve as a staff member and head instructor for the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) where I had the opportunity to travel around the United States teaching cheer and dance to elementary and secondary students. 

After receiving my B.A. in English from Angelo State University and M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio, I began teaching English III and served as the Pep Squad director at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School. 

I have been teaching high school dance in North Carolina for 8 years in addition to working as the head acrobatics teacher in the private dance studio sector.

I am looking forward to being back in Texas and becoming a part of the Maverick family!
