Ms. Laura Stefania Cerna

Hello! My name is Laura Stefania Cerna. I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten Teacher this year! I am a new teacher at Roan Forest, and I am thrilled to be a part of the forest. 

I was born in Eagle Pass, Texas where I graduated from Eagle Pass High School. I moved to San Antonio in 2010 and attended UTSA where I received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Specialization in Athletic Medicine. I worked in the medical field for several years prior to teaching, but my passion had always been to work with kids and become a teacher. My career change has been the best decision I could have ever made, and I’ve never been happier.

I am the youngest of 4 and have been blessed with an extraordinary family. I love spending time with my family, my fiancé Eric, my friends, and my little rescue chiweenie, Pepito. I am a homebody who loves to cook, bake, and decorate for the holidays. I watch Halloween and Christmas movies year-round, and love a good ol’ classic movie like, When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail, or Sleepless in Seattle (to name a few).

I am excited to have your kiddos in my class. It’s going to be a fantastic year!!
