Thank you for visiting my page.  I am a first grade teacher and am excited to be entering my  31st year in education! I grew up in the small town of Rogers, Texas.  I attended University of North Texas, and began my teaching career in Joshua, Texas. I then taught in Coppell, and Hutto before moving to San Antonio. 

I have been at Encino Park Elementary School for seventeen years and truly believe it is the best campus with the most wonderful students, staff and parents! I have  taught all  grades  1-4 and especially love working with the younger children.  I  have two daughters, Bethany (a freshman at Penn State)  and Bailey (a freshman at Johnson High School). Both of them attended Encino Park Elementary as well! My family also includes a lovable dog named Gracie May and 2 curious guinea pigs, Linus and Louie. 

When I'm not busy with my daughters or working at school, I enjoy traveling, swimming, doing word puzzles and watching football or volleyball games.  I also love watching marching bands and the sport of baton twirling!
