Hello parents and students!!  Welcome to Fifth grade!  I'm Allison Cares, your teacher :)

A little about myself.....I have a 10-year-old son going into fifth grade this year at Hardy Oak, and I've been married for 12 years :) I graduated from Texas A&M University and have been teaching for 22 years.  I have taught second, third, and fourth grade.  I am extremely happy to be a part of the Hardy Oak family and to be teaching fifth grade!!

Over the months ahead, my goal is to help your children learn to do their best in all they do, not be afraid to try new things, and realize their potential!

I hope your child will walk away from fifth grade with the confidence to tackle any obstacle they are faced with.  I want to help them learn to take responsibility and ownership of their choices and to learn from mistakes. I'd love for you, parents, to partner with me on this journey.  Together, we will create life-long learners!
