Mrs. Rhonda Flores-Alvarado
My name is Rhonda Flores-Alvarado. I have been a teacher for 28 years. I graduated from UTSA in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree with certifications in Bilingual/Bicultural educations. My career began with SAISD. My teaching experiences also include 15 years in at OP Storm Elementary and Highland Park Elementary, a year as a Gifted and Talented teacher in Bellevue, Washington and as a second grade teacher in Rock Hill, South Carolina. I have been with NEISD here at East Terrill Hills for 6 years. I started as a fourth grade bilingual teacher and then was the math coach followed by 5th grade bilingual math and beginning last year I am in a non-bilingual 3rd grade.
I have a daughter, Samantha, who is in her last semester at Baylor University. She will be graduating with a Bachelor degree in International Business communications. I also have a son, William, who graduated from the US Naval academy who is recently married and will be working in Providence, Rhode Island. I remarried last summer to John Alvarado.
