Mrs. Carrie Clewett

Welcome back, 2022-2023 Champions! I'm looking forward to my 11th year of teaching here at Cibolo Green Elementary School. This year I will be teaching 5th grade, including Hyper-Accelerated Math.

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN.  After high school graduation, I was eager to spread my wings and follow my dreams! I received my undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ, where I met my husband, Drew.  I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force where I worked as a Developmental Engineer at the Air Force Research Laboratory and then a Weapons Integration Engineer at the F-16 Systems Group.  I enjoyed the challenge of problem-solving but soon realized I wanted to share my enthusiasm for Math and Science with kiddos, so I began the process of changing careers.  An opportunity to teach preschool was the perfect transition from my work in the military to my work here in NEISD.  Along the way I completed my teaching certification and a Master's degree in Reading from St. Mary's University, as well as a second Master's degree from St. Mary's University in Educational Leadership.

I have 2 amazing kids (a sophomore at Johnson and a freshman at Texas A&M).  My husband, Drew, taught Geometry and A.P. Statistics at Johnson, but is now an assistant principal at MacArthur High School. We enjoy traveling, movie nights, beekeeping, and spending time with our kids.
