Mrs. Yargici

Welcome to our classroom!

My name is Rosemary Yargici, and I've been a proud member of the Las Lomas Second Grade Team since January 2022. I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year.

I am originally from Puerto Rico but have followed my husband throughout his Army career around the world for many years. Our family is transitioning into the civilian world, and Texas is the state we have called home for several years now.

My professional background involves extensive higher education management experience, but when our oldest daughter began kindergarten, her academic development and dedication her teacher demonstrated towards her learning truly inspired me. At that point, I was certain this was a calling for me and decided to pursue my state licensing credential to become a certified classroom teacher. I’ve taught English as a Second Language to primary level students in Tokyo, Japan, and as I was pursuing my certification credential, also worked as a long-term substitute teacher for the Department of Defense Education Activity Europe schools, in Germany.

Our team is extremely dedicated to helping our students develop strong academic skills, as well as focusing on hands on STEAM activities and integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics as we navigate our curriculum. In addition, my main priority is for each student to develop a love for learning, and to discover their skills as they are exposed to new experiences and concepts. I have a strong commitment towards the academic, social, and emotional growth of my students, and always strive to develop a strong and inclusive classroom culture so each individual student reaches their full potential.

I look forward to our interactions and a wonderful school year 22/23 with my students!

Sincerely,

Rosemary Yargici, M.Ed.
