Mr. Edward Vasquez
I received my bachelor's degree from Trinity University and my master's degree from Texas State University (in the ancient days, it was known as "Southwest Texas State"). I began teaching in 1999 and have loved every year. I continue to learn as much from my students as they learn from me.
I strive to make the school day active and engaging and am always looking for ways for students to show their learning in a variety of ways. Aside from academics, I feel that the classroom community is vitally important in a child's learning.
My wife is a second grade teacher in NEISD and I have three children. One of my daughters attends Madison High School and the other is a freshman at the University of North Texas. My youngest, a son, is an 8th grader learning about rocketry in the KSAT program.
I love travelling. My longest road trip was a 19-day trip across the southeastern United States. I have been known to even travel for hours to eat great barbecue! I also love sports, especially basketball (SPURS!) and football.
