Hello!

My name is Jaclyn Viera, and I am the Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher here at Tejeda Middle School.  I have been working in the field of education for 10+ years in a variety of different settings.  I began my journey in the field as a Dance Team Director and Coach, then served as a Curriculum Coordinator and Daycare Director for a Childcare Center for children with special needs, an Online ESL Teacher to children around the world, and a Career and Technical Education Teacher at the middle school level.

This is my second year teaching with NEISD, and I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community!  The courses that I teach are designed for students who are interested in learning more about careers within Human Services in pathways like Consumer Services, Early Childhood Development and Education/Training, Counseling and Mental Health, Family and Community Services, and Personal Care.  We do many hands on learning activities, projects, labs, and interactive work in class to build upon many essential life skills that will prepare students for post secondary education and the workforce.  I strive daily to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.  Teaching truly is my passion and I am so excited to be working with your students this year!
