Mrs. Mayra B. Chapa
Welcome to a WONDERFUL 2021-2022 School Year! I’m so excited to be here to serve the Jackson-Keller Community. I was previously at Jackson-Keller Elementary for 5 years, where I served as as 3rd and 5th grade teacher. I am starting my 17th year in Education! I started this amazing journey as a Paraprofessional, then transitioned into a Teacher and now I will serve on the Curriculum and Instruction team as a Target Support Teacher.
I graduated in 2010 from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Bilingual Interdisciplinary Studies, magna cum laude…Go Runners! In addition, I recently received my Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, eating out at restaurants, playing softball, watching football…GO COWBOYS, and reading.
My favorites: Starbucks coffee. Vanilla Dr. Pepper, Gummy bears, Sushi and my all-time favorite hero Wonder Woman.
I am here to serve the students of Jackson-Keller and hope to enthuse our students to reach their fullest potential. The sky is NOT the limit when there are footprints on the moon!
Let’s make 2021-2022 an AWESOME year!
