Meet the Teacher
Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelors in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas State University Certified: EC-8 Generalist EC-4 ESL EC-12 Special Ed.
My name is Stephanie Gregg and I have been working in education for 13 years.
I am married to my wonderful husband, David. We have been together for 13 years. We have a rambunctious, adorable boy named Oliver who is 4 and a playful, quirky, black cat named Rose. When I am not teaching I'm usually running around town somewhere getting out to see shows, visit parks and explore the new things in San Antonio I have yet to see!
Growing up as an army brat, I was fortunate enough to live in many places and learn about many cultures, but our family fell in love with San Antonio and so we planted our roots. I have lived here 4 different times. Although I am a product of NEISD (Graduated from MacArthur HS) I spent the last ten years living and teaching in Anchorage, Alaska and have only moved back this summer to San Antonio, to be close to my family.
From the time I was in kindergarten I always knew I wanted to be a teacher! I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Southwest AKA Texas State University in 2008. Go Bobcats! I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year at my new school home Jackson-Keller Elementary!
Teaching kindergarten is the most rewarding job I could ever have. I love getting the opportunity to nurture their spirit and plant the foundation for a life-long love of learning. In kindergarten we teach them about school expectations, math, science, learning how to read, and how to get along with others and perservering, while learning with a growth mindset and set them up for a successful school career.
Kindergarten is where the adventure begins!
