Welcome to String Orchestra! My name is Mr. Loomer and I began teaching at Jackson Middle School in 2021! Before then, I taught for 13 years in Northern California, teaching Middle School Band and Orchestra.  I earned my Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California in 2007.  My wife, Meridee, and I have been married since 2014 and have a young son named Liam and two cats named Puck and Quinn. 

When not teaching, I enjoy bike riding with my family, watching Sci-Fi shows/movies, playing legos with my son or dabbling with my RC Cars. I look forward to building the String Orchestra Program here at Jackson MS! It's a great day to be a Jaguar! Go Jags!
