Mr. Dean Arteaga
Thank you for coming to my Teacher Web Site.
After several decades in the private sector as an IT Executive, I decided to reinvent myself and become a proud educator and mentor here at Reagan. This is my thirteenth year teaching Computer Science and, every school year, I find myself fortunate to have answered my calling – to teach.
My wonderful wife and I have been married since college for almost 37 years. We have two awesome children: A Texas A&M Visualization Aggie and a Senior Reagan Rattler.
I teach my Rattlers real world approaches to the Art of Programming while we explore the creative side of the discipline as well. Moreover, they have fun doing so – learning a lot about themselves and the technological world around them along the way. My students evolve from being passive users to active creators of technology.
This time in my students’ lives is a special one. My desire as a mentor and teacher is to help my students create a launching pad for their success – no matter where life may take them. It is a blessing to be part of their lives and to help them grow.
Our children are our greatest treasures – each is unique and precious. Please know I understand this and honor the privilege and responsibility you have entrusted me with daily.
Thank you,
Mr. A.
