National Signing Day Ceremony Guidelines
- A student athlete must complete the season with the team and be in good standing.
- A student must have competed in and completed his/her high school career in the sport signing.
- The head coach of the sport must have proof of an agreement whether signing to a Service Academy, NLI/Financial Aid Agreement to an NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA Institution.
- Only student-athletes who have received a commitment from a university (DIV. I, II, III, NAIA, JUCO) to participate in athletics on or before the signing date will be allowed to participate in the signing ceremony.
- DIVISION III ATHLETES MAY SIGN A CELEBRATORY SIGNING FORM AS OUTLINED BY THE NCAA- (Division III institutions are permitted to use a standard, NCAA provided, non-binding celebratory signing form. A prospective student-athlete is permitted to sign the celebratory signing form at any point, including high school signing events, after the prospective student- athlete has been accepted to the institution.)
- A student athlete who participates in a non-UIL sport and will sign a NLI for a sport not offered at the high school may take part in the campus signing ceremony as long as they have met any of the criteria in items #1, 2, or 3. (ex: gymnastics)
- A student who is recognized as a preferred walk-on must have an official letter of other type or communication to participate in the school ceremony.
