Mrs. Analisa Shinn-Martinez
Analisa Shinn-Martinez is a San Antonio native who has been creating art as long as she can remember. She graduated from UTSA in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art and a Secondary Teaching Certification. Her first teaching job was at Tejeda Middle School, where she stayed for 4 years, before moving on to Johnson High School. Mrs. Shinn-Martinez is currently starting her 7th year as an art teacher at Johnson High School, and her sixth as Fine Arts Department Head. She recently completed her Master of Arts in Teaching degree through the University of Saint Mary. For the 2020-21 school year, Mrs. Shinn-Martinez will be teaching Art 1 Honors, and Digital Photography (Photo II, Photo III, and AP Photo).

Joining Johnson Art

We would LOVE to have you get involved with ART! There are a number of classes to choose from beyond Art 1-- from drawing, to digital photography, to sculpture, to painting, students are sure to find something they enjoy! For more information on any of the classes we offer, please feel free to contact me via email anytime.
If you are interested in pursuing art as an extra-curricular activity, our campus also offers a National Art Honor Society and Art Club, hosted by Mr. Ryan Williams (rwilli4@neisd.net) and Mrs. Stephanie Smith (ssmith1@neisd.net). Please feel free to contact either teacher to find out how you can join!

Google Classroom
All of my students have been using Google Classroom as a way to submit assignments and perform short writing assignments.
Through the school closures due to COVID-19, my students will continue using Google Classroom to see their weekly assignments and to submit their work.
