    Fashion Design I & Fashion Design II

    1 Credit         Grades: 10-12

    Room: GA 121  

     

    Course Description: Careers in fashion span all aspects of the textile and apparel industries. Students will be expected to develop an understanding of fashion and the textile and apparel industries. Student must pass safety test with 100% mastery.

     

    In this course students will explore:

    • Fashion History
    • Clothing & Society
    • The Elements & Principles of Design
    • Clothing Construction & The Fashion Process
    • Fashion Textiles & The Future
    • Fashion Illustration & Portfolio Development
    • Clothing Care
    • Career Exploration  

    Required Materials/Supplies:

    • 1 Fashion Magazine to use for class projects
    • 1 Folder
    • BLUE or BLACK pen, Pencil
    • Loose-leaf paper (Let’s keep it neat, no spiral edges on turned in work)
    • A supply list for sewing projects will be handed out later in the semester; try and get these supplies as soon as possible so we can get started on our projects!
