Mrs. Leigh Anne Roeber

I grew up in San Antonio and I am a product of North East ISD. As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher and my relationships with amazing music teachers in NEISD definitely impacted my decision to pursue music education. After starting my teaching career in Indiana, I came home to Texas and I've taught elementary music in NEISD for 15 years.  I was thrilled to open Las Lomas in 2012 and I am a proud Las Lomas Lion.  I serve as the Las Lomas LINKS Team Grade-Level Chair and Webpage Coordinator.

In addition to my campus responsibilities, I also serve as the Lead Elementary Music Coordinator for NEISD. In this role, I work with the NEISD Fine Arts office to facilitate mentorship, professional development, and equipment needs of our elementary music teachers. I have served as a supervising teacher for student teachers from UTSA, Texas State, and Texas Lutheran Universities.

I am married and enjoy spending time with my husband and our children. Ethan is a sophomore at Reagan (Strike 'em, Rattlers!) and Grace is in seventh grade in NEISD this year. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, knitting, playing the violin, and snuggling with our two previously feral, now horribly spoiled, cats.

My goal as a teacher is to empower our Las Lomas leaders to express themselves creatively, make enriching connections across curriculum areas, and cultivate a lifelong love of music. It is a blessing to teach and lead alongside our Las Lomas Lions!
