Coach Martin (Mike Martin) is starting his 28th year in public education.  He graduated from Angelo State University in December of 1992.  He has been married for 26 years and has two boys; Marshall 24 and Garrett who is 19 years old.  The boys love to play any and every sport which keeps the family busy.  Mrs. Martin is a teacher at Reagan H.S.  

As an educator Mike has enjoyed an extremely successful career to date.  Many of Mike's teams and individuals from Basketball to Golf have won at the highest level including a State Championship in 2000, 2001, 2013, and a runner-up finish in 2003, and 4th in 2015 and again in 2019.  In the past 20 plus years as a Head Golf Coach here in San Antonio, Mike has been fortunate enough to make many trips to the State Golf Tournament, guiding Johnson HS to 10 consecutive years at the state tournament appearances - several years have seen both boys and girls.  Many of his players have continued their golfing career in the collegiate and professional ranks while one stands out as a Collegiate National Champion.  With all of this Mike is most proud of the academic success of his former players as many have gone on to graduate with honors and become significant people touching the lives of others.
