Mrs. Elizabeth Buckelew-Martin
Hello and thank you for visiting my teacher web site!
My name is Elizabeth Buckelew-Martin and I teach English III at James Madison High school. This is my sixth year as a Maverick teacher but I am an alumni of Madison High School. It's true what they say - "Once a Maverick, Always a Maverick!"
I am a San Antonio native and a Roadrunner! I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a BA in English with teacher certification as well as a MA in Reading and Literacy. I taught for 12 years in another San Antonio school district before joining the wonderful family of NEISD and Madison High School. My hobbies including gardening, reading, and traveling with my husband, Richard (who is also a teacher!). I also love going to movies and spending time with our family, friends and pets.
Parents and guardians, I am thrilled to be working with your students and will give 100% at all times in order to help them succeed in English III and in general as proud, strong Madison Mavericks! I also look forward to being in contact with you throughout the year to keep you informed about your student's progress in our class. Please feel free to contact me at any time should you have questions, concerns or thoughts regarding what we are learning in English class. I encourage you to talk with your student, ask them about our current readings, look over their writing assignments, and enjoy the journey along with us. The best way to contact me is via email- ebucke@neisd.net. I check email regularly throughout the day and will almost always get back in touch with you within 24 hours. If you need to make contact with me urgently, please feel free to call the main office and request that they get a message to me.
Please enjoy browsing through my website. You will find a wide variety of useful information here. Thank you in advance for your support and I look forward to spending the 2017-18 school year with you and your student!
