With 15 years of successful teaching and content coaching knowledge, I bring a plethora of academic experience. I was a former dean and teacher of mathematics at the International School of the Americas from 2011 to 2015. Previously, I was a mathematics coach and teacher at the El Paso Independent School District from 2007 to 2011. As a teacher, I have been very successful at accommodating diverse student needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualized support and integrating effective learning materials into my classroom. I am a hardworking, well rounded educator. In 2009 I was the Campus Teacher of the Year at Austin High School in El Paso, TX. In 2020, I was awarded the campus Trinity Prize in Teaching. I am also fluent in Spanish.

I received a Bachelor of Science and minor in Physics from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2004.  I received a Masters of Education in School Administration from Trinity University in 2013.
