Welcome Back to School!

I am so excited to be a part of the wonderful Lopez family, and even more excited to be your teacher! Technology has always been a passion of mine, and I can't wait to get to know you all and share with you my love of learning new things! I promise that I always want to do what's best for you and I am dedicated to finding new and exciting ways to make learning fun!  I love this school and feel so fortunate to be a part of this community. I know this will be a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and leadership!

My Background:

I grew up in a sleepy little town in North Texas. I attended Texas A&M University and then finished my teaching degree at UTSA.  I moved to San Antonio in 1993 and have fallen in love with this city! This will be my eighth year teaching at Lopez. I have also taught 5th grade at Wilderness Oak Elementary, 8th grade reading at Bradley Middle School, 7th and 8th grade reading at Woodlake Hills Middle School and 8th grade reading at Kingsborough Middle School. This will actually be my 26th year in the classroom! So I guess the old saying is true...time flies when you're having fun!
