Mrs. Leslie Simonsen

Hello!  My name is Leslie Simonsen and I love being here at Wilderness Oak.  This is my 15th year teaching in NEISD and my 13th year at Wilderness Oak.  I am excited for another fabulous year!

I am a true South Texas Girl! San Antonio is my home town. I am blessed to live close to my parents and to three of my siblings. I graduated from MacArthur High School here in NEISD and quickly headed North to Longhorn country. I received my degree at The University of Texas at Austin in applied learning and development and am certified to teach general education, special education, and music education. After graduating, my husband and I moved back to San Antonio where I began teaching in NEISD at Thousand Oaks Elementary School. I am blessed to be a mother and grandmother and I enjoy my kids very much.  I believe that each child is unique with their own special gifts and talents to develop and I want each of my students to know how special they are!
