Hello and welcome to my staff page:

I graduated with a Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Bilingual Education with a concentration in Science from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in 1996. Go Miners!  I immediately started my teaching career after graduating from college. During my 22 years of teaching, I have taught first grade, fourth grade, and kindergarten. I quickly realized that teaching kindergarten was my passion. I have taught kindergarten for the past 20 years, and have truly enjoyed every moment spent nurturing my student’s education. 　　

My first group of students are now in high school. I was honored and humbled to be selected as Regency Place Teacher of the Year in  2011 and 2018 and at Steubing Ranch Elementary, 2022.  

My teaching objective is to provide children with a strong academic foundation so they can succeed in the first grade and beyond. I try to instill the core values of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness and citizenship.　 I accomplish this in a caring, loving, and safe learning environment. I believe the hardest part related to my job is saying goodbye to my students on the last day of school.
