Hi, my name is Catherine Baker. I have been teaching for 14 years, all in 5th grade except one year I taught 1st grade. Before I started teaching full time, I substituted here at Hardy Oak since the school opened back in 2000. I have taught Science all of my years in 5th grade, and I have also taught Social Stuides and Reading/Language Arts.

I graduated from St. Mary's University with a BBA in Finance and obtained a Post-Baccalaureate of Science Interdisciplinary Studies/Teacher Certification from Texas A & M University San Antonio. 

I have two grown children, my daughter is 28 and works in Communications and my son is 26 and he just began his third year of Medical School. Both are Hardy Oak Hornet alumni! :)

I also have a toy Chihauhau named Coco that I love spoiling!

In my free time, I enjoy walking, reading, watching movies, baking and traveling.
