Mr. Alonzo attended Krueger Middle School and Roosevelt High School in NEISD, and graduated from UTSA with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. During his time at UTSA, he marched with the Spirit of San Antonio under the direction of Ron Ellis, serving as section leader for two years. He also studied conducting with John Zarco, Director of Instrumental Ensembles, and studied tuba with Gary Poffenbarger as a member of the Boom Squad. In his free time he likes fishing and spending time outdoors, as well as playing in the Heart of Texas Concert Band.
